AMARILLA GOLF CLUB
On the 12th July 2009 Amarilla golf club members Ray Massey and John Brooksbank were playing in a four ball American stableford competition with Ray’s son, Ray junior and grandson, Cameron. On reaching the fabulous par three fifth hole, some 125 yards across open water onto a very short green, Cameron teed off followed by Ray junior, then Ray lined up for his shot and all four watched as it disappeared into the hole. After suitable congratulations were over John then took his tee shot and his ball was believed to have gone into the hazard although Ray junior thought that it had followed Ray’s ball into the hole. On arrival at the hole they were greeted by a very rare sight…. Two balls in the same hole!
The odds of making two holes in one on consecutive shots are said to be around 26,000,000 to 1, it has been done before but very rarely.
Congratulations to John and Ray.

AMARILLA GOLF CLUB
Mid May 2009 saw the Tossers and some paying guests head up to El Peñon in the North of Tenerife for breakfast in ‘The bunker” bar/café followed by 18 holes in drizzly, overcast conditions. After a long trip home, due to traffic jams/road works, dinner and prize giving was held at La Cabra restaurant in Las Chafiras. See photos.
