Any player without an up to date registered Amarilla Golf Club Handicap (recorded on handicap board) must produce a current Home club handicap certificate and a current playing record to be eligible to win a prize.

Amarilla Golf Club Tenerife held their annual boxing day tournament, the Jersey Open on 26th December 2007 sponsored as usual by Tommy Noel. Tommy was accompanied this year by his mum who very kindly agreed to present the usual fabulous prizes. The Tenerife weather was as usual sunny, warm and with a gentle breeze, ideal conditions for some good scores to come in but nobody seemed to be in the right condition to take advantage of it. I wonder why? Nevertheless there was great spirit and plenty of laughter on the terrace for the presentation once a couple of drinks had settled the post Christmas hangovers. In all a very good Boxing day tournament as usual thanks to Tommy and family. The Bickertons, father and son, were in the results again with father just pipping his son on a card count back. It is noted that the sponsor again won the team event; this is getting to be a regular occurrence Tommy!
